Ancient Egypt – an introduction

You have heard of some or all of the following: Cleopatra, Tutankhamun, Ramses the Great, Akhenaten, Nefertiti, the Valley of the Kings, the Great Pyramid, Osiris and Isis. Mike will put them in context, show you some pictures, tell some stories. Perhaps by the end you will want to visit Egypt (Mike has been there three times), or at least you will have some context when you visit a museum (there are at least ten in the UK alone exhibiting Egyptian items).
This talk will be held on the first floor of the Centre for Student Life, Room 1.26 / 1.27
