The Welsh Language - A Continuing Journey
Speaker Aled Edwards
Accompany the Welsh language through history from its early roots as a Common Brittonic Celtic language through four distinct periods: Primitive Welsh (550-800), Old Welsh (800-1100), Middle Welsh (1100-1400) and Modern Welsh (1400-). A brief exploration of modern Welsh and how some words have journeyed through history and have their roots in the wider European context.
