Hold the Pose: Poise and Posture in the Viennese Waltz
Host Markus Gyger
"Dance," they say, "is a vertical expression of a horizontal desire." Are you ready to "waltz" through the complexities of proper dance posture? In this workshop, we'll dive into mastering the elegant stance of the Viennese Waltz. I promise, this will be an 'upright touching' experience. In this Workshop you will learn how to maintain an upright yet relaxed posture, lead and follow effectively, and glide effortlessly across the dance floor. This session is tailored for both beginners eager to learn the basics and advanced dancers looking to refine their technique. In dancing Viennese Walz, each move is a debate between gravity and grace, making every stance a testament to poise and connection. Don’t miss this chance to turn the theoretical into the theatrical. Join us on the dance floor!
