Nantgarw China Works
Established in 1813, the China Works was a porcelain factory renowned for its high quality, extremely white porcelain which sold for high prices.
In recent years, the China Works recreated the original Nantgarw porcelain recipe which had been lost for over 200 years.
The site still provides studio space to modern day ceramicists who create, fire and exhibit new work on the premises.
You will have Tea/coffee and a welsh cake on arrival, a presentation about the site, and see the artists at work.
After a cold buffet lunch, you will have a guided tour of the site (including areas not usually available to the public) followed by tea and coffee.
Due to the nature of the historic site you will need to be able to climb a few steps and negotiate some uneven ground.
Cost includes return transport by coach.
