On Saturday morning we will head to Cardiff Parkrun at Bute Park. This was the first Welsh parkrun and is the second largest in the UK (ranked 74 out of 835 for difficulty). This 5km (3 mile) run is out and back along the banks of the river Taff within Bute park, entirely on tarmac footpaths (so no mud involved!). If you would like to be timed, remember to get a barcode beforehand by registering at https://www.parkrun.org.uk/ It’s not all about times though, this is a fun community event, you can walk (or even hop) if that’s what you prefer. You are guaranteed good company, the chance to mingle with locals, and leave with a sense of achievement. Post-parkrun coffee is at the adjacent Tesco Extra Coffee Shop.

The start of the parkrun is 1.5 miles from the Centre for Student Life. We will leave the CSL shortly after 8am to walk there. There may be an option to share taxis/lifts, which we will organise when we know the numbers/needs of the participants. Although there is no charge, please register anyway so that we can have an idea of numbers.
